WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

The story of Two Rivers Off-Road started where so many great off-road stories do — in the middle of nowhere, with mud on the tires and strangers becoming friends.

In the early 1990s, a small group of Jeep owners from Illinois traveled to a popular off-road event out of state. After a day of trail rides and shared stories, someone looked around and noticed something odd — nearly every license plate in the parking lot said “Illinois.”

One of them laughed and said, “It’s like the Illinois Off-Road Club out here.”

Then paused.

“Wait a second… that’s a great idea.”

That off-hand joke sparked something real.

They realized Illinois didn’t just have off-roaders — it had a whole off-road culture waiting for a home. And so the seeds of what would become Two Rivers Jeep Club — now Two Rivers Off-Road — were planted right there in the dirt.

From day one, the mission was simple:

CREATE A SAFE, LEGITIMATE SPACE FOR FAMILIES AND ENTHUSIASTS TO ENJOY REAL OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE ON PRIVATE LAND — TOGETHER.

No public park drama.

No sketchy trail hunting.

No gatekeeping or bravado.

Just a strong community, well-maintained trails, and experiences worth retelling around the campfire.

WHO WE ARE TODAY

Over the last 25+ years, Two Rivers Off-Road has grown into one of the most respected off-road clubs in the Midwest. Based in Pittsfield, Illinois, we operate on 100% privately owned land, covering thousands of acres of creeks, bluffs, timber, and rolling farmland.

We host two major annual events and a variety of member-only ride weekends throughout the year. Our members range from first-time Jeep owners to multi-generation trail veterans.

What unites us is a love of adventure — and a belief that real off-roading is better when it’s shared.

WHY THE NAME "TWO RIVERS"?

Our home base, Pike County, sits between the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers — two powerful forces that carved this land and still shape the region.

It’s also symbolic.

We believe every rider is shaped by two paths:

The one behind them, and the one they’re heading toward.

We’re here for both.
